Agricultural production
Main directions of crop production: OOO “EkoNivaAgro” (42 000 ha of arable lands) – forage production, cash crop production, reproduction of cereal and leguminous seeds. OOO “Zaschitnoye” (8 030 ha of arable lands) - production of cereal and leguminous basic seeds, cereal and leguminous grasses seeds and forage. A State variety testing plot functions on the territory of the enterprise. OOO “Kaluzhskaya Niva” (4 000 ha of arable lands) – forage production, potato seed farming. OOO “Severnaya Niva” (15 000 ha of arable lands) cash grain production. OOO “Sibirskaya Niva” (25 000 ha of arable lands) – cash grain production, forage production; reproduction of cereal and leguminous seeds, flax-growing.
Ten livestock breeding subdivisions contain 7 226 heads of cattle, including 3 815 heads of dairy cows and 3 411 heads of young Simmental cattle (of German and Austrian breeding) and Red cattle. Average annual milk yield is 5 225 kg. The biggest livestock breeding object is a dairy complex with a rated capacity of 1200 dairy cows, possessing a Red cattle breed reproducer status. The following technologies are used: - housing (loose housing in cow barns “Wolf System” comprising both group and individual stalls, open air housing for young cattle in individual hutches), - feeding (well-balanced rations developed with account of livestock productivity and physiological state), - - milking (using milking Euro parallel parlour “Westfalia Surge” 2õ24 with rapid exit system), - reproduction (artificial insemination with semen of German breeding bulls using the recto-cervical method, hormonal synchronization system schemes Presynch è Offsynch ), - herd management (herd management programme “Dairy Plan”, “SELEX” programme for cattle breeding). The enterprise started using American selection breeding bulls semen for local cattle in order to increase milk yields, and improve exterior and other parameters. In 2009 three more farming enterprises joined “EkoNivaAgro”: Vladimirovka, Petrovoskoye and Sadovoye. In other enterprise subdivisions keeping Red cattle, the reconstruction of stock buildings is still in progress. Besides, “EkoNivaAgro” is planning construction of one more stock breeding complex with a rated capacity of 1200 heads of Holstein-Friesian cows.
OOO “Kaluzhskaya Niva” Livestock number – 1000 cows, 500 heads of dairy herd. Propagated breed: - Schwyz cattle of Austrian and Swiss breeding. Average annual milk yield is 6 443 kg. Under the national project, the enterprise has reconstructed free-stall type cow barns with housing capacity of 800 cows and group free-stall barns for young cattle. In June 2009, the enterprise acquired the status of breeding reproducer of Brown Swiss cattle.
ÎÎÎ "Zaschitnoe" Total livestock number– 698 heads, dairy herd - 360 heads. Gross daily milk yield is 6 000 kg. Under the national project, the enterprise has performed reconstruction and renovation of livestock breeding complex housing 500 heads of dairy cows. The Enterprise has the status of a breeding reproducer of Simmental cattle. The animals are kept in free stall type barns with deep-litter bedding. Young cattle are kept in individual hutches in the open air and in group stalls with deep -litter bedding. The milking barn is equipped with a herringbone milking parlour (2õ12) produced by WestfaliaSurge.
ÎÎÎ "Sibirskaya Niva" Livestock number –342 cows, 362 heads of young Simmental cattle of German and Austrian breeding, 666 cows and 1140 heads of young cattle of black and white breed, 204 cows with calves at foot and 311 heads of young Hereford cattle. The enterprise has the status of Simmental breed reproducer and is preparing to receive the status of Hereford and Black and White breed reproducer. Annual milk yield is 5080 kg. The enterprise has put into operation the first order of livestock breeding complex with estimated capacity of 1800 dairy cows, installed a Carousel milking parlour with 36 milking places produced by WestfaliaSurge, and is currently performing a reconstruction of housing facilities for the local cattle of Black and White breed.
